About Chef Marco

Marco Qualified in the Netherlands, and trained extensively in Switzerland and stayed there for over 11 years working in 5-star resorts around the lakes and in Ski resorts.

Marco then moved to Australia to open the world-famous Sheraton Mirage resort in Port Douglas, QLD. From there he went to work at sea and has been Executive Chef for several 5- and 6-star cruise liners. For the last 10 years Marco has been working as Head Chef in Perth.

As of January 2023, Marco opened Chef Marco’s Kitchen, a work-day gourmet cafe in the heart of the Bassendean industrial area. With daily lunch specials, hot takeaway breakfasts, and fresh take home meals, Chef Marco’s Kitchen is quickly becoming the place to eat in Bassendean.
